Looking for heroes in the COVID crisis

Heroes are all around us in the COVID-19 pandemic, and David Birnbaum wants to give them the public recognition they deserve.
All he needs is the names of the colleagues we believe are worthy of being singled out.

To all members of staff in CIUSSS:

As the Member of the National Assembly for the riding of D’Arcy-McGee, Mr. Birnbaum is looking for the men and women in the facilities of our CIUSSS or elsewhere who are distinguishing themselves by making an extraordinary effort on behalf of others. Heroes can be frontline workers and healthcare providers, but they can also be administrative and support staff—in other words, anyone at any level and in any field who has played a significant personal role in ensuring the well-being of others.

In the coming weeks, Mr. Birnbaum will honour 30 heroes on his Facebook page. As an added bonus, Montreal business executive Mitch Garber has pledged to donate $500 to the community organization where each heroine or hero is making a difference.

To nominate a deserving candidate, send your email to  communications@jgh.mcgill.ca and include your contact information, plus the nominee’s name, position, place of employment and a brief description of why that person merits special recognition. All entries should be submitted no later than May 6.

Let’s make sure our heroes know how much we appreciate what they do.

Director of Human Resources, Communications, Legal Affairs and Global Security
