News from the CIUSSS

Mandatory full vaccination required to enter health and social services facilities by October 15

Following a recent announcement by Christian Dubé, Minister of Health and Social Services, we anticipate that as of October 15, we anticipate that a valid vaccination passport will be mandatory for anyone wishing to enter health and social services facilities across Quebec, including CIUSSS West-Central Montreal. Proof of vaccination—i.e., a vaccination passport—will have to be presented, upon request by a security agent or other member of CIUSSS staff.

If you have not yet been fully vaccinated, we urge you to do so as quickly as possible.

This policy will apply to everyone including but not limited to: visitors, caregivers, volunteers, students and employees (in clinical and administrative positions including foundation personnel, subcontractors, maintenance and repair people, housekeeping, researchers). Thus, it is in everyone’s best interests to ensure they are fully vaccinated.

Getting vaccinated is quick and easy and can be arranged with or without an appointment. It is the best way to protect yourself, your loved ones and those with whom you come into contact. It is also the most effective way to minimize the impact of worrisome and more contagious variants of COVID-19.

Details of the vaccination sites on our territory can be found at ciussswestcentral.ca/covidvaccination.

Thank you for your prompt cooperation.
