The City of Montreal has started major work on the road and sidewalks in front of Pavilion K at the Jewish General Hospital. Throughout the month of July, Légaré Street will be under construction between Côte-Sainte-Catherine Road and Bourret Avenue. Included will be improvements to the bike lane, repairs to the sidewalks and installation of a pedestrian crossing.

Phase 1 - week of July 2

  • Pedestrian access to the entrance of Pavilion K will be maintained on Légaré, despite the partial closure of the sidewalks on both sides of the street
  • Automobile access will be limited to one northbound lane from Côte-Sainte-Catherine Road to Bourret Avenue

Phase 2 - week of July 8, for three weeks

  • Pedestrian access along both sides of Légaré will be maintained.  No automobile access will be allowed between Côte-Sainte-Catherine Road and Bourret Avenue
  • The Emergency Departmentwill remain accessible to ambulances, motorists and pedestrians via the east side of Légaré
  • The outdoor and underground parking lots will also remain accessible
  • All JGH entrances will always remain accessible
