Workshop about advance medical directives in Quebec

The law on end-of-life care came into force on December 10, 2015 in Quebec. It establishes guidelines for the right of access to end-of-life care, including palliative care, continuous palliative sedation and medical assistance in dying. There is also recognition of the primacy of the will freely and clearly expressed in matters of care, through the option of advance medical directives (AMD).

To discuss the accessibility issues of AMD, to identify strategies to improve the public's understanding of AMD and to identify best practices, a virtual and in-person workshop will be held on Wednesday, May 31 on Zoom and at the Côte-des-Neiges Community Resource Centre (6767 Côte-des-Neiges Road), according to the following schedule:

  • French workshop: 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • English workshop: 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
