Children with special needs

In addition to services related to pregnancy and birth, parents of young children have access to a full range of services in their neighborhood. The CSSS de la Montagne offers advice on nutrition, vaccination, education, children behavior and family life.

Your CSSS provides several services to youths with intellectual disabilities and pervasive developmental disorders (DI-TED) as well as youths with physical disabilities (DP) and their families.

When specialized services are required, CSSS workers will make the appropriate references to a rehabilitation center for intellectual disabilities and pervasive developmental disorders (CRDI-TED).

Please note that adults with physical disabilities can also receive help through services for adults with a loss of autonomy.

Immediate help is available for children 5 to 17 years of age and their families (see the CAFE program)
