Winter 2020
The Stand Up! program is a FREE 12-week intensive fall prevention program for people 65 years of age and older. The program aims to: improve balance, flexibility and physical strength, help to keep bones healthy and gain confidence. These are group sessions led by a kinesiologist that are offered biweekly.
Overview of certain criteria for admission to the Stand Up! program:
- being mobile without the help of a walkers
- being able to mobilize for a distance of about 200 meters without being exhausted
- no major cognitive or motor impairment
- being available 2 times per week for 12 weeks
For the winter 2020 session, the Stand Up! Program will be offered at the following locations in the RLS territory of the CLSC Côte-des-Neiges, Metro and Parc-Extension. Registrations are made directly with these organizations. Check with them for the registration details.
