Santé Québec West-Central Montreal Health and Social Services University Network’s Awards of Excellence return for 2026!
The nomination period is officially open for the 2026 Awards of Excellence—a program dedicated to celebrating the exceptional people and teams who make a difference across our network every day.
Over the past five years, the Awards of Excellence have become a valued tradition within the Santé Québec West-Central Montreal Health and Social Services University Network, highlighting the dedication, innovation and commitment that define our organization.
The award recipients will be honoured on November 4 during our Annual Public Information Meeting at the Jewish General Hospital University Health Centre. We encourage staff, physicians, managers and volunteers to help recognize colleagues whose contributions strengthen our organization and enhance the care and services we provide.
Celebrating five years of excellence—and adding the Wener Family Outstanding Physician Award
As we mark this milestone edition, we are also pleased to introduce an exciting new award category that will recognize the exceptional contributions of physicians across our network.
Made possible through the generous support of the Jewish General Hospital Foundation, the Wener Family Outstanding Physician Award for Clinical Innovation will recognize three physicians who have demonstrated exceptional innovation in healthcare—whether through clinical practice, research, education, quality improvement, system transformation or the patient experience—and whose contributions have made a meaningful and lasting impact. Through your nominations, this new distinction will help shine a spotlight on physicians whose innovative work is advancing healthcare and improving the lives of patients across our network and beyond.
As is customary, three awards in each of the following categories will be presented to nominees who exemplify an extraordinary professional commitment:
- The Team Award recognizes a group of at least five people who have worked on a project involving innovation or sustained change.
- The New Recruit Award acknowledges a new employee who has demonstrated outstanding performance during their first two years.
- The Excellence in Intern Supervision Award honours an employee who provides interns with a supportive, stimulating and personalized learning environment.
- The Outstanding Manager Award recognizes an exceptional leader who embodies excellence in management and service dedication.
- The Outstanding Contribution – Clinical Award recognizes individuals who excel in clinical areas related to patient care, professional development and teamwork.
- The Outstanding Contribution – Administrative and Internal Support Award honours individuals who excel in non-clinical work, reflected in their efficiency, customer service and teamwork.
We encourage all staff, physicians, managers and volunteers to take part by nominating deserving colleagues whose dedication and accomplishments help make our network stronger.
