Our scholarship programs

New scholarship program in Pharmacy

Six scholarships, each worth $12,500, are available for pharmacy technical assistants and senior pharmacy technical assistants who have applied for prior learning assessment and who wish to complete a DEC in Pharmacy Technology.

Mandatory information sessions will be offered at Collège de Rosemont on August 16 and 23, and at Cégep Gérald-Godin on August 30. Scholarship program for orderlies and homecare assistants

Our CIUSSS is pleased to announce that 49 scholarships, each worth $7,500, are available to students who are about to start or complete their training as orderlies or homecare assistants.

To qualify, you must submit your CV and meet with an employee from Human Resources who will explain the scholarship program and your employment opportunities. You will also have an opportunity to speak about yourself during a brief interview.

Become a PAB or a homecare assistant with the support of a scholarship during your studies,
plus a guaranteed job upon graduation!

Eligibility criteria
To be eligible, you must:

  • Be a citizen or permanent resident of Canada, and you must reside in Quebec
  • Be enrolled in the RAC or DEP APED training program on a full-time basis in a training institution recognized by the Ministère de l'Éducation et de l'Enseignement supérieur
  • Commit to starting and completing the training program
  • Obtain confirmation of employment from CIUSSS West-Central Montreal
  • Be available to work according to the needs of the CIUSSS for at least one year from the completion of the studies for which you received the scholarship
  • Be adequately vaccinated against COVID-19, unless contra-indicated

General information

  • Since the program's launch, our CUSSS has offered 169 scholarships.
  • Once students have completed their training, all of them are guaranteed employment on a permanent full-time basis, a permanent part-time basis, or in on-call positions.
  • Guaranteed positions are available as an orderly in a hospital, long-term care centre, rehabilitation centre or CLSC, or as a home care assistant.
